Welcome to Alameda Ferry!
There are four ferry services currently operating out of Alameda. They are Oakland & Alameda (Main Street), Seaplane, Harbor Bay and Short Hop. They are operated by San Francisco Bay Ferry which also operates routes out of Richmond and Vallejo.
Main Street Ferry
The Main Street Alameda Ferry route connects Alameda and Oakland to the San Francisco Ferry Building. One-way trips starts at $5.75 for Adults. Crossing time is approximately 25-45 minutes depending on the trip route.
Seaplane Ferry
The Seaplane Ferry route connects Alameda Seaplane Lagoon and downtown San Francisco. Crossing time is approximately 20 minutes.
Harbor Bay Ferry
The Harbor Bay Ferry route connects Bay Farm Island in downtown Alameda with the San Francisco Ferry Building.
Short Hop Ferry
The Short Hop Ferry route is a 10 minute ferry crossing between Alameda and Oakland Jack London Square. It only operates on weekdays. This route is best for Alameda residents commuting to Oakland.
Seasonal Routes
The Alameda Ferry operates two seasonal sports routes in addition to the four routes listed above. These routes are the Oracle Park Ferry and Chase Center Ferry.
The Oracle Park Ferry shuttles residents of Alameda and Oakland to San Francisco Giants home games.
The Chase Center Ferry connects Alameda and Oakland residents to Chase Center for Golden Gate Warriors home games.
